In August of 2022, Jacob went on an amazing adventure trip with his friend, Brendt's, church youth group. Someone else had backed out, and they offered this incredible experience to Jacob. Our sweet boy had the BEST time, swimming, climbing, white water rafting, singing, and team building. We were so grateful, and still are, that he had this experience.
One of the things that made our hearts overflow was when the youth group leader told us that Jacob was one of the leaders on the trip, who helped others feel safe and included. Quite something as he knew no one else on the trip other than his friend and his friend's brother. We are proud of the young man he has become. And thankful for all of the opportunities he has to meet new people and implement the life skills he has learned along the way, at home and in his martial arts training.
